Joy as I journey

There is a time and season for everything!  Well, it's 2:00am a time to be sleeping or at least that's what I thought.  Uhg...... I guess things don't always work out like we think they should.

That is pretty much the way it goes........  Not as planned!

I have day to day goals,  expectations.....with a husband and three boys two part time jobs, trying to keep things on point moving along at a steady pace toward "my goal" without much thought of joy or thankfulness.

Does this sound at all like you?
Do you find joy in your day to day "jobs" that were given to you?

In Ecclesiastes 3:10-13
I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
(these are the daily chores we have and how they exercise us)
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life
And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
In other words, the good in all of these busy "gifts" of life  is to enjoy all of our labor, it is from God!

thankful...
  • we have the strength and mind to do the work (Gods design for mankind is to work and be busy)
  • we have loved ones to labor for
  • for healthy family
  • Gods ways are perfect and good
Instead of looking at everything through the eyes of disgust and dissatisfaction, to find joy and love in our "gifts".

Dear Lord,
as I go through this week...yes it's Monday again, help me to be glad in the work you've given me.  Help me to see the joy and the good that comes from loving and servingYOU and being thankful to YOU oh God my God.
I love you Lord,
~love Jackie

  1. Every day is a journey. We need to learn to be excited in seeing what God has for us. We make the choice as to how we look at it. Even on the dark days try to find something good. I know God has placed something there. I am seeking the good trying not to focus on the bad
