What the vacation pictures don't show you is all of the negotiations behind the scenes. The giving up what you want,  so others can have what the need.

The give and take.

The sacrifice.

The waiting.

The long road ahead.

The fear of tragedy that might occur if you leave home....  

The love that grows between a family that stays together through all of it and loves even more because of it.

The family who realizes life is hard and has to be fought for. 

God has to be the center we gather around at meals, and love that brings us home.
